distance learning at Brainerd Public Schools (and my perspective)

Brainerd Schools went back and forth between hybrid (either in person limited hours or a combination between online and in person) and distance learning(online) in 2020-2021.
Brainerd Schools went to mostly in person for the 2021-2022 school year with an option for high school students to enroll part time in a new online school.
I personally advocated for distance learning but was willing to substitute teach or wiling to work in person in the after school program (and felt discriminated (disability, age) by not being rehired). However I was called in for an interview for a substitute teaching position at Riverside elementary in September 2021 where I worked in past with community education but another candidate was chosen. I was able to substitute teach at least 9 days outside of the school district while continuing with my other (non-school) work and graduate studies.

((my old note: While I agree with the decision of distance learning and think it should have been that from the beginning, one topic was untrue. They have not used all available licensed substitutes since I am one that hasn't been called in.))
