Around June is the time of year of the most deer -car crashes. The grown up fawns have separated from the doe.
June is also railroad crossing safety month. Motorist, Bicyclers, and pedestrians need to always yield for trains, since trains are not able to stop. If boarding a train always stay off the tracks. Trains may come on a track at any time and don't run on a regular schedule.

in 2015 There was a car struck by a train this June between Baxter and Pillager at a crossing without cross arms or lights, just a stop sign. The occupants of the car were injured, but luckily survived.
Also watch out and plan ahead for construction work this summer and watch out for construction workers.
